How to apply Abicin®?
Treatment of nail fungus infections:
If necessary, roughen the surface of the nail with a file, wash, and dry before applying the lacquer. Apply a thin layer of lacquer to the entire affected nail surface using the brush provided in the cap and allow it to dry. Continue the treatment with Abicin® twice a week until the damaged nail is replaced by a new, healthy nail.
We recommend removing the old layers of lacquer from the nail several times a month. Abicin® can be removed with a nail polish remover, an ethanol-based disinfectant, or mechanically, for example, by filing.
Several overlapping layers of resin lacquer may darken the nail. The color disappears with the removal of the lacquer layers. If cosmetic nail polish is used during treatment, it should be removed before applying Abicin®.
Treatment of bacterial paronychia:
Apply a thin layer of lacquer to the entire affected area using the brush provided in the cap and allow it to dry. Continue the treatment with Abicin® daily until the affected area is healed.
The duration of treatment varies from a few days to 1-2 weeks for nail inflammations and 6-18 months for nail fungus infections.
