Effects
- Novox® Drop is a medical device for treating lesions or ulcers in the oral cavity, which supports the healing process by creating a microenvironment favorable for the activation of microcirculation.
- Novox® Drop can form a protective barrier and microenvironment that is unfavorable for the proliferation of pathogens.
- Due to the oily nature of the product, combined with the healing and reepithelialization properties of oxygen-enriched oil, Novox® Drop has a film-forming and soothing effect.
Technology
Novox® Drop is based on a technological process that has been researched and perfected by the Research and Development Department of MOSS. This process allows for optimizing oxygen enrichment within an oil matrix to give the medical device its technical characteristics, namely the constant and continuous release of ROS.
The addition of flavorings provides a more pleasant taste for ease of use.
Effectiveness against microbial contamination
In the study conducted by Montevecchi et al. published in New Microbiology in 2013, Novox® Drop was compared to two commonly used antiseptics. For each antiseptic, 7 dilutions were analyzed, ranging from 1:2 to 1:128. The effectiveness of the products was tested against Staphylococcus aureus and Porphyromonas gingivalis.
The results demonstrate that even at high dilutions, Novox® Drop retains the ability to inhibit bacterial growth.
